Staying at the Senhime Monagatari was one of the highlights of our trip. The location in Nikko was perfect, within walking distance from all the sites. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating and we really felt pampered during our stay. We don't speak Japanese, but just about all the staff that we encountered spoke at least some English.... more

I can’t even begin to tell you what a wonderful hotel the Senhime-Monogatori is. It is not in any of the well known travel books and you cannot book it directly through the hotel, although they do have a website.
