First, the location is fantastic if you want to see the temples and shrines in Nara Park or even stroll down the pedestrian shopping streets and a 15 minute walk to the Todaiji Temple. We recently stayed at the Sunroute Hotel in Nara. It was in a very good location for shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, etc. The room was pleasant looking, but small, and very clean.
