My wife and I are currently visiting Sendai to visit a hospitalized relative. I've always been a fan of the Choice Hotels Group (Comfort Inn, Clarion, Quality Inn, and other). Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are pretty compact with modern fittings, comfortable beds. The bathroom is quite small compared to other hotels I stayed at in Japan. Free internet.
