From the first step in to the lodge we were surrounded by friendly and professional management and staff alike. The tents were very comfortable, the food very good, the views spectacular. We were lucky enough to have our own guide, Perez, who was a wealth of information and stories - being very patient with all our questions, birding and photography.... More

Everything about this camp is designed to spoil...the food is out of this world, the views are spectacular, the accommodation is just the best and the service and attention to detail is unbeatable! We were there with our two boys aged 4 & 6 and they were welcomed with open arms - even their endevours to feed the fish and... More

This is a spectacular setting to view elephants and represents a great place to stay. The quality of the " tents " are about as good as you will ever see . Food is really good and the camp is a great way to get the Kilamanjaro experience without climbing!

My husband and 15 year old daughter checked in to Tortilis Camp on March 18 for 2 nights and were immediately captivated by the beauty of the camp and the charm of the managers Andrea and Manuela, along with all of the staff working there. The 3 of us were booked into a tent together but we were very graciously... More

The first stop on our safari tour was "Tortilis Camp" in the Amboseli Nationalpark. From the beginning, we were blown away by this hotel. The staff, the tent, the environment, the food - everything was just wonderful. From the terrace (where you eat) you realize that this is the perfect place to stay with wonderful views. Everything is excellent: -... More

A great view of Kilimanjaro from your porch is hard to beat. Ok so I am biased because I love mountains. Well the camp is in a good location, the game viewing was satisfying (and this was low season) and the overall experience simply fantastic. How you get there can be an adventure too! We drove ourselves from Nairobi. Not... More

I was horrified by the price but by the end of 3 days i was really pleased to have stayed here. there are loads of great things about the place, the views of kilimanijaro and the bush, the staff, the physical property all fantastic but what i didn't realise was they have exclusive access to an extension of the park... Our first night in Kenia after a long drive/safari from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. Warm welcome, very professional people and what a surprise when we discovered our tents. Very clean, no moskito's at all. Elephants at the pool while we were enjoying excellent Italian food. In the morning several 'dikdik' walking around in the camp. We stayed in the... More

I guess elephants are bigger in Amboseli than anywhere else. Got a tons of pictures of elephants with the Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. But, that is a classic theme. We'll share with you our photos with a successful "baby elephant rescue mission" on. Few words about Tortilis Camp - luxury, great service, great guides, excellent Italian food, excellent, excellent,... More

Neither my girlfriend or I had visited a game park before and following some advice from friends of hers who live in Nairobi we settled on Amboseli as our first park and Tortilis as our first lodge. Neither would disappoint! Even better, her friends joined us on the trip. Tortilis really is impossible to fault: in terms of location, staff,... More
