We stayed here in July 07, we had a really great time, we did a two day safari with ASC and were very pleased, we stayed in crocodile camp and we could hear hippos grunting at each other in the night - great! We didn't see lions or rhinos but we saw HUNDREDS of elephants, it was fantastic and amazing... more

We had read the reviews of the Watamu Beach Club Hotel and so arrived in Mombasa with a certain sense of trepidation. We had also read the reports about the condition of the road from Mombasa to Watamu and so this was no surprise, although the condition of the coaches we travelled in, both to and from the airport, were.... more

The meals we did find repetative and bland, but we... more

Went to Kenya for the first time this year. Expected bugs everywhere etc etc. Found Watamu Beach to be clean, fine "flour" sand and really gorgeous setting. The accommodation was basic but adequate and clean with no bugs. The friendly staff could not do enough to help. Loved it. Dinner menu was a little repetitive but pasta, salad and fruit... more

Went to Watamu Beach Hotel for our honeymoon &, sadly, had the worst holiday experience of our lives & have never been so glad to return home. An admin error mean that, despite email confirmations that we would have certain honeymoon offers, as discussed in the ASC brochure, this was all refused to us on arrival. Furthermore, we were not... more

Firstly before I start to moan, I did enjoy my holiday, met some fab people and had a fantastic time on Safari. I would defintley recommend Kenya as a destination. I just want to warn you what to expect with African Safari Club. The transport to the hotel is very old but this is not really a complaint as you... more

Book with caution. We booked with African Safari Club and was disappointed. The drive from Mombassa to as what can be described as unsafe and dangerous roads with pot holes some of them a meter in width and the bus coming of the road making driving conditions very dangerous. We arrived to our hotel to our surprise was very basic... more
