I went to Lion in the Sun on my own in April and wasn't sure what to expect. As soon as I arrived, it was like a weight lifted and I instantly relaxed. It's like a tucked away secret, nestled in tropical gardens - you wouldn't realise this place was there amongst the other bigger 'resort' type places in the area. It was the most wonderful experience I have ever had on a holiday. I felt totally and utterly looked after by every member of staff, who were so attentive, but without making you feel harassed - that is the beauty of Lion, you are left to relax and enjoy the retreat at your leisure, enjoying wonderful fresh food from the sea and organic garden, amazing service but mostly, the tranquil and calming atmosphere. The spa is out of this world and up there with the best. The manager particularly is the most amazing woman who is very intuitive and instantly understands your requirements.
