It used to be the Grand Continental. Checked out Starcity, Holiday Villa, Seri Malaysia, the Regency is by far better. It's pricier but worth it. Stayed in a deluxe room with a king bed, decent size, clean, some renovation, new furniture. Staff were helpful and polite. Lifts should be upgraded and front entrance is quite a few steps up. No non smoking rooms. The hotel is in the city center. more

The family room I booked is really small and bit pricey. Sheets are old but the basic things are there. Small local channel TV, AC, Tea making facilities and towels. Since I hate small space and we traveled with two hyper kids, it is a blessing the visit was only for a day.

The city itself is rather small and quiet. Not much to do especially for shopping, but there is a local market called Pekan Rabu which is quite famous more
