This is a gorgeous resort in a perfect spot on Langkawi. It is "world class" in design and "world class" in price.
We had a blast, chartered a boat for the week which picked us up at the hotel's beach, marveled at the beauty of the jungle, etc. The rooms are big, perfectly appointed and luxe.

Long overdue review. Visited in June 2011 and it was quiet and peaceful. Far away from all other parts of the island, The Datai really is a pocket of absolute tranquility. Add fantastic accommodation (we stayed in a villa), superb restaurants and quiet, efficient and unobtrusive service and I could not be happier. Highly recommended.
