Very good value and in the heart of Ipoh with Overseas restaurant opposite and Foh San around the corner for dim sum breakfast. We stayed two nights in its standard room. We requested for a non-smoking room but the room was warm and stuffy. We suspected the air-con wasn't working and requested for a room change. Took the Executive Suite (Oriental) price at promotional rate of RM198. Clean and comfortable room. Seems decor mordenize not too long ago e.g. bath tub and shower cubicle. Read the earlier reviews which stated this place seems to be old... Location in town nearby to most good food places. On the negative aspect - no air-cond control. more

The walk in price was only $40 per night. The fancier hotel one block away was $60. The room was clean but older. Comfortable twin beds, good air conditioning. Only problems were the small TV and the drain in the bathroom floor allowed you to listen to the neighboring room's water going down the sewer line. Just close the bathroom... more

Stayed for a night at this established hotel. Booked a deluxe room on 11th floor. Noticed that they have refurbished the rooms to give it a more simple and modern look. Room wasnt 100% clean when check in, noticed hairs on the bathroom floor. Good covered parking available though limited in quantity. Free buffet breakfast in the morning was good... more

Nice room except for some small cockroaches which you see running around the cardboard. Very friendly housekeeper and bell boy (Rashid) but surprisingly not at the reception. Still, it is value for money as during that period, they were having deluxe room promotion at an attractive price. more

I have stayed there on numerous occasions whenever I am back in Ipoh, and have found it to be very conveniently located. Proximity to all eating places and plenty of taxis available. Chose this hotel because of its rate and location. Booked 3 superior rooms with no high expectation. The receptionist allowed us to see the rooms 1st before we decided to stay.
