I agree with the comments by dippy23. The hotels reception, restaurant, bar and pool areas look fantastic, all newly renovated and very modern. As you arrive at the hotel you can see the sea right from reception and you think you have landed on a fantastic deal. We were really looking forward to seeing the room.... After we had been... more

This hotel looks gorgeous when you first arrive. The lobby is neautiful with views of the sea and your tricked into thinking you've got a good deal. However once past the facade and you enter the hallway to your room things start to turn sour. Once you enter the room it gets worse! The rooms have seen far better days,... more

For most hotels at Tanjung Bungah or Batu Ferringhi, one has to walk a distance to reach the beach. Being loacted right by the beach is the main advantage and selling point of this hotel. The pool is next to the beach, and the restaurant setting, overlooking the sea, is great, especially during breakfast. The room is less than satisfactory.... more

Great food, great service, great entertainment, and clean, but the room has seen its day, but remember, you only shower and sleep in it. Good for the price. more

The location is at the beginning part of Tg. Bungah so it's still possible to commute to Georgetown daily. Easy to find the hotel as it's located by the main road. It was refurbished and mildly renovated a couple of years ago and the hotel looks very nice these days. This is one of the most value-for-money accommodations in Tanjung... more

Well the rooms are run down and need a facelift but after speaking to the head manager (Vincent) at the pool area one day he said that he understands that the rooms need a good going over and he intends to start getting this done after Janurary 2010 because they are heading into the peak season around Christmas and to... more

I travel to Penang 4 or 5 times a year on business. Decided to stay beachfront for once instead of in the town, chose this place and what a terrible choice that was. It took me nearly 30 minutes to check in and questions that i asked of the front desk staff were answered rudely and incompletely. When pressed for... more

We stayed here 4 nights. The refurbished areas of the hotel: lobby, swimming pool, restaurant, beach and elevator entry are nice. The rooms are in terrible condition (see photos) There is 1 refurbished room in the entire hotel - for show and it will be nice if they ever do it. SeaView rooms on 2nd floor (where they put most... more

Starting of the new year 2006, i would have not imagined a better place to go. The beach is next to the hotel property, they do have a nice pool alongside it and you can utilise the services for a boat ride or snorkling from the hotel itself. The bar with it's live band was the best. Sometimes listening to... more
