I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2006 as part of a back packing trip in Borneo. When I stayed the whole island, including the accomodation was like paradise, and I am sad to see from recent reviews that the resort is no longer as nice. We had a chalet room which was basic but spotlessley clean and comfortable... more

We had read many reviews about how run down the resort was getting so were not expecting the best - however we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a long house and booked a room each for the kids (aged 6 and 8) and us - 3 beds in each room. The rooms were very simple, but clean. Not sure... more

We stayed here for 4 days as part of a 6 week tour of Borneo. The island is covered in jungle and managed by Sabah Parks who have marked out walks round the island. These are obviously not walked often and beginning to be absorbed back into the jungle. There were a couple of places where it was difficult to... more

When i say terrible, i mean the resort. The room is small, the toilet is DIRTY (stains on the walls and floor), there's not even a soap holder, it's WET AND DISGUSTING! No drinking water supplied in the rooms, not even tea or coffee making facilities. The cupboard is falling apart; the room is practically ugly and cheap (as compared... more

We had booked here 2 nights 3 days but we left after one night (and more people did). Maybe the reason why is that we paid far too much money for such a basic not even a 1 star accomadation. The people working on the island are very helpfull and the island is quite beautifull. But the accomodation is really... more

Upon arrival this island had a distinct similarity with what one would assume paradise to look like. The island itself is lovely, clear water, plenty of green and pretty beaches which makes it all the sadder that the resort itself does not live up to its location. Having booked the top grade of room we were disappointed to find that... more

This was fantastic. Beaches: Don't expect a coral reef with fish and turtles, but just a very laid back and decent quality resort. We were with very few people on the island, which made it even more idyllic. The area around the resort is OK, but yes because of the current there ends up quite a lot of wood and stuff... more

We stayed at this place in March 2006. This is indeed a quiet retreat place a bit off from the mainland Sabah. The island is called Pulau Tiga and used to be one of the early locations for the Survivor shows. Nowadays it is a quiet resort with a small beach, a nearby mud volcano, Snake island and a very... more

The resort was very quiet - only 4 of us there. We had a chalet which was clean enough, basic bathroom but generally OK. The staff were nice and most food was buffet. If you don't get there when the food is served then it gets cold quickly - nothing to keep it warm. Looked after us veggies OK in... more
