It has been difficult to find the correct hotel to review - there's probably a reason for this. We stayed at Serendit Hostel in Poring Hot Springs part of Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. The address (as above) is in VERY small print on the bill. And what a bill it is. When booking from England we decided that we would have earned some luxury by the time we reached Poring and that the fact it was 10 times more expensive than Bako park in Sarawak would not stop us. It averaged 3 - 5 times more pricey than anywhere else we stayed in Borneo. Check in was polite but information on the park 'attractions' was out of date/incorrect. The room was reasonable and full of freebie shampoo etc. After that it was all downhill. The showers were shabby, dirty, not working, cold (2 showers to a block of 4 double/twin rooms would have been inadequate anyway, except there were very few guests).
