We stayed in Low's Peak Lodge, a 3 bedroom lodge. Since Mesilau is part of the Sutera Sanctuary Lodge (owners of Sutera Harbour Resort), one would have expected a better level of facilities and service for the price of RM830.
We were shocked to discover that:
- there was only 1 bathroom for a 3 bedroom lodge. Not only that, the bathroom was in need of severe overhaul and the shower floor paint was chipping.
- the lodge and the rooms were shabby looking
- due to low peak season, there was no buffet breakfast. Instead, they cooked us ala carte breakfast. Food was nothing to shout about - coffee was tasteless, fruit juice was like sugar water etc
Further, this hotel is located too far away from the nearby town area. However, because the food was so bad, we decided to drive out for dinner that night.
We are glad we only had to stay here for one night. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
