We stayed for 5 nights in a doubleroom with aircon. We booked it, because of the recommenation in "The Rough Guide" and the nice-looking website, but we've been very disappointed. Borneo backpackers was recommended by a friend and had a good write up on hostelbookers web site. I was somewhat dissapointed as the dorm rooms had a distinct mouldy damp smell to them The rooms have aircon and have a lot of beds for one room (10 bunk beds), shared bathrooms which are tiny. This cosy little backpackers is central to everything! Sunday mornings you look out your window and the markets are at your door step, 5 blocks down is the harbour, every street has your local restaurant, ...
