We came to the Seaside Traveller's Inn after 10 days adventuring around Sabah including camping in the jungle, a village homestay and a trek up Mt Kinabalu. This place was exactly what we needed to unwind and enjoy the rest of our stay. The room we had was cosy with air con, hot shower and even tv which was a... more

After a few days in Kota Kinabalu, we moved to this lovely seaside hotel. Initially for four nights and after a 4 day tour we returned for another night before going home. The pool is great, the views from the restaurant fantastic, the food is simple & authentic and very very tasty and the staff could not have been nicer.... more

The Seaside Travellers Inn is an ideal place to unwind. Its location feels far from the bustle of the city and was a perfect antidote to our long flight. We stayed in the 'deluxe room', which was basic, but spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Their swimming pool is quite small, but clean and pretty, and overlooking the sea: glorious at... more

A good no frills option for the budget conscious. We stayed here 1 night as part of a tour. Our double room was configured with 2 single beds and a bunk bed set. Rooms were very clean with flushing toilet and constant hot water in shower. Restaurant is very reasonably priced and next door is another restaurant (with adjoining cheese... more

Overall not impressed, the service was generally OK until we came to leave and the FREE transfer TO the airport that we were told we were entitled to wasn't free, becoming 40RM for a Taxi, which turned out to be one of their staff members' car. Even though the previous evening we'd heard the staff tell other guest that the... more

My husband, son (25 yrs.)and I have just returned from Sabah and stayed at the Seaside travellers Inn. I believe this place is certainly value for money and our stay there was enjoyable and relaxing. This is by no means an up market establishment but the rooms were large, very clean and offered beautiful views of the ocean. The bathrooms... more

Ok I can understand those singles or couples no kids not liking Seaside Travellers because it is not exactly jumping and yes it is a bit of a drive to KK, but in the 8 days we were there we only went to KK twice anyway. We had two days in a row when we didn't even leave STI. With... more

Our family (2 kids 11 + 8) stayed at Seaside Travellers Inn for about a week aug/Sept 07. It was our first stop in Asia and we loved it. James (manager) picked us up from airport and made sure our stay was happy. This is not a 5 star resort but it is in a very nice location, the rooms... more

Stayed for 2 nigths in 2 different rooms, one with ac and one with fan. The rooms were ok for the price, the cleaning very good and the staff nice. BUT I would say that it is too far from town (takes 25-30 min with taxi and as much time to get the taxi!) and the beach was so littered... more

Generally, I agree with others who are delighted with their stays at this small budget inn but I find the distance (25 mins) and cost of taxi fares prohibitive, Rm30 after bargaining, initially, the driver's price is Rm40.The 3 rooms next to the restaurant are to be avoided if you want peace and quiet as the diners (in-house and local... more
