Ellaidhoo is the sort of place you want to go to relax and recharge your batteries. It is blessed with a fantastic house reef that seems to present daily suprises in terms of its inhabitants! The staff are extremely curtious and helpfull, nothing is too much trouble for them, a special thanks to Donald and his staff for the excellent... more

We had a great and memorable holiday here. Stayed here between 23/11 - 30/11 in room 109 which was a garden bungalow. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a cold towel and drinks! Accommodation is pretty good our only issue being the wildlife that always seem to get into the room. Not a lot you can do... more

Stayed for 11 nights from the 23rd of October. Flight was as scheduled with the seaplane transfer which was a great experience. We were upgraded free on arrival from a land bungalow to a superior room, we were not quite what the difference was but the room was very nice. Loved the partial outside bathroom. Don't pay the extra for... more

We went for two weeks, booked a water bungalow & were kept awake by the couple in the bungalow next to us by their conversation, for which we could hear word for word & then later that night we were woken by their snoring. We were not the only couple to experience this lack of privacy. We asked to be... more

If you are looking for a small piece of paradise look no further....this is a place where there is nothing to do but enjoy the diving, beach and sand. Relaxing at it's best. My wife and I went to Ellaidhoo in June 09 and then enjoyed it so much that we went back Oct 09 with friends. We have visited... more

First off, setting the scene - I have MS and can't walk very far with my two sticks, so this was to be an adventure. So scene set:- The Maldives is one of the best places on the planet, with the nicest people. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, which allowed me and my wife (Colleen) to really chill, despite... more

Second visit to the Maldives and I won't be looking in brochures for any other island, this place is awesome. We came away feeling totally cheated of what could have been the best ever holiday because it rained and the wind howled for 11 of the 14 days we were there. On the 2 good days we had it was... more

Be sure to dive and snorkel the corners of the house reef - people tend to stick to the north and south walls but the corners are even better, I think. Do the Maaya Thila night dive too, which truly amazing. The island is beautiful, I did not bother the wall, and the food is quite nice. Very good value... more

I'd been thinking of giving Ellaidhoo 4 out of 5 mainly because of the rather unsightly break-water wall that circles the entire island (more of which in a moment), but having thought about it some more I decided that on balance it deserves maximum points, because it IS an 'excellent' island resort. PROS - spacious, well appointed rooms with large... more
