My hubby and me take this Resort for our first visit in Maldives per the reviews from TripAdvisor. Somehow, we are disappointed for its facilities, like the old renovation among the reception lobby, bar, restaurant, guestrooms; especially, the poor wi-fi service! Very different from another experience we´ve had at the Sun Island Resort from the same group- Villa Hotels Reception efficient and normal "fast"... Luxury and confortable rooms- wood made bungalows. Room facilities free (water/coffee/tea)... Very good restaurant / food... Room & restaurant service frendly and efficient. Beautifull small island- don´t ask the north shore rooms (rocky beach) Value for money... more

Wonderful, heaven on earth. Great way to get there flying in a small seaplane from the seaplane airport...Great beach side luxerious chalets. You must go full board, excellent food. We went here on honeymoon and were blown away at how amazing the island was, and how sweet, attentive and kind the staff were. The house reef is great (best snorkelling is under the jetty) and we would recommend the desert island trip - we were taken by speedboat to our own island for the day, very James Bond! Our experience with Royal Island started just as we've exit the arrivals.
