We stayed 12th to 26th Sep 08 and travelled with First Choice. When we arrived at the island it was so clean, friendly, warm and welcoming. We stayed in a beach bungalow Room 228 and the view outside our room was of the full lagoon with the blue water bungalows in the distant - an amazing view to wake up... more

My Husband & I booked the Dhonvelli resort through First Choice for our first Wedding Anniversary from the 1st September to the 15th 2008. We stayed in an over water villa suite & couldn't fault the accomodation, spacious, clean, really peaceful & I think better than we expected. The restaurant we were allocated was lovely, sea views & a really... more

After reading some of the reviews we were a little worried, however, we had a fabulous week at the hotel. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was excellent, the room was large, well equiped and cleaned twice daily to a high standard. The food was excellent quality and the main restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The bar was lively... more

We have been back for over two weeks now and I feel as though I am still there. The whole holiday from start to finish was brilliant and we came back totally relaxed. The island was just perfect. Accommodation was lovely the only downside (if you could call it that) was that you could hear next doors TV but for... more

We had a great honeymoon week at Dhonveli. We stayed in a water bungalow, the standard of accomodation was excellent, with our own private deck area allowing us to sunbathe without being overlooked. We snorkelled in the lagoon and saw a good range of fish including damsels, blennies, gobies, puffas, eels, sharks, picasso triggers and more. The First Choice rep... more

SHOCKING RESORT!!! Like so many other reviews, I thought the 'wingers' writing bad reviews were negative people - how wrong I was! Having been to the Maldives before (Kureedu) I expected the same beautiful island beach, accomodation and service - we were terribly disapointed and are not 'wingers' but here goes... We are currently in the arbitration process with First... more

We arrived at Dhonveli after a long flight to be met by our rep Thomas who guided us to the awaiting speedboat after a short wait at Male airport. What an experience that was,but nice and cooling in the heat this took about 20-30mins and when we arrived at the resort we were greeted with cold flannels and drinks which were... more

Just returned from a stay at Dhonveli during the period 28 Jul-Aug 11 08. Had a good holiday but was disappointed. Lovely island and people. Good food. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was great. The guests are mainly Italian, Brits, Chinese and Aussie's. On our second day there, one of the guests ( a famous singer from India)... more

Myself and my mum stayed at Dhonveli for 2 weeks from 31st July to 15th August 2008. We had booked a beach bungalow and were put in room 402. There was a path through about 2 metres of trees from our patio to the beach, which could be seen from the room. We weren't sure about this but came to... more
