Two weeks in Palm Beach in November. The two things about this resort are that it is a bit bigger than most other Maldives resorts, and it is largely visited by Italians. Both these points work in the resort's favour, as long as you know what to expect. Because it is big, you can find peace and solitude quite easily... more

A great experience.... the food was amazing, the staff was nice, the place was beautiful and the spa was wonderful! We found out on the last day however, that the Maldivian staff there was celebrating after the Sept. 11 bombing, so we have taken Maldives off our list of further travels... But if you must go Palm Beach is an... more

we were lucky enough to stay in the presidential suite - a huge 2 bedroomed villa which came with an all-inclusive package which included all food and drinks at all restuarants except one and the option of room service. it also included the services of a fantastic maldivian personal guide. it also included 2 private excursions on a dhoni. this... more

Just returned from 11 nights at Palm Beach and have all good things to say about the place! I had read some of the other reviews before we travelled, and while the resort is populated mostly by Italians (we were the only British couple for the majority of our stay) it really wasnt a problem, all the staff spoke excellent... more

We spent 11 days at Palm Beach and were very impressed. We had a fantastic, fun filled romantic honeymoon. We took full advantage of the free watersports, windsurfing and snorkelling trips twice a day. Most evening we would walk around the island it would take an hour at a very leisurely pace and was very romantic. At the spit we... more

Since we were traveling with a 1 1/2 year old, we chose this hotel under the philosophy that Italians love children (hence, our daughter's presence would not be resented). We were right! Both the waiters and the other guests really doted on our daughter, and we could not have felt more welcome. The hotel provided 2 cribs to select from... more

If you are willing to spend a romantic getaway, just avoid this place, specially on peak season. Rooms are nice and spacious, bathroom is state of the art, food is excellent, beach is nice, service is corteous. Everything is maybe a bit too big (there's even a soccer field). And full of families, with kids sometimes too much "out of... more

My Husband and myself returned from this hotel yesterday after having spent 2 weeks there. On the whole we really enjoyed our holiday. The previous reviews have covered most of the points we'd like to make but just a few pros and cons that we feel need to be considered if thinking about booking this resort. This was our 2nd... more

We stayed at Palm Beach for the first two weeks in May 2008, our first time in the Maldives. We were a little worried about the weather knowing May/June was the beginning of the rainy season, but it turned out we were really lucky having only two days where there was any rain and even then it cleared the muggy... more

We (my husband and me) stayed on this wonderful island for 10 days and didn't wanted to go home... RESORT: This is no luxury-resort but we didn't expected that. But the whole island and the buildings are extremly well kept and tidy. The best thing is that this big island is hardly covered with buildings - so you have absolute... more
