As I had stayed in Essaouira on three previous occasions, I was quite happy this time not to choose a hotel located within the resort’s atmospheric medina where standards can be quite variable. I plumped instead for the safer option of a chain hotel where you have a pretty good idea of what you’re going to get. I’ve always been... More

We had booked two room for 2 adults plus one child in each in july 2012. But upon arrival, we were told that no beds were avialable, and therefore the two children aged 8 and 10 were to sleep in the beds with the parents. First of all, this was not what we had been promised when prebooking and paying... More

This is a great hotel very convienent to visit the town close by. There is a great golf course at the near by sofitel, the staff were great vthey arranged transport to and froim the hotel to the course. The hotel is fairly new so its exactly what you would expect from a IBIS. More

What I was missing, were...fruits at breakfast , there were only dates, but in Marocco there are many fruits available, should not be really a problem. Also I missed the delicious local barley bread. Also I found the price for breakfast a little bit too high for Marokko. More

We booked this hotel for one night, and would rather have stayed in a tent! The hotel is hideous, the restaurant is like a council canteen. The restaurant was at the root of our problems we ordered an expensive mozerella salad which was totally inedible, and my husband had the koftas with mint sauce. Two hours later he was being... More

You cannot find any better value for money in Essaouira. The hotel is less than 5 years old and all look very new and well maintained to me, and this can often be an issue in Morocco. Staff were very friendly and manager always to be seen. The rooms are to the Ibis brand standards, however we had a larger... More

My friend and I went to Morocco in October. Having come from Marrakech, staying in a riad where every noise was magnified, this was perfect. It was quiet, the rooms were small but clean, the staff were firendly and happy to bring you drinks to your room (for no extra charge). We were constantly given bowls of nuts and popcorn... More

The good. Cheap, clean and has a decent sized pool. Beers were very cheap in the bar (about £1.50), as they were doing a 2 for 1 deal. Friendly manager. Good choice of cheap snacks and food available too. The bad. Ants. If we left any food out in the room (or even crumbs) they would be covered in ants... More
