Myself and my boyfriend spent 2days with Jorge and his lovely dog Luna. We had a beautiful bedroom leading out onto the terrace which had stunning views of the ocean. It's perfectly located inside the medina, near all the restaurants and bars and the breakfast filled us up until tea time. Great value for money and would recommend this place... more

We have just returned from spending 3 nights at Dar Skala in Essaouria, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Dar Skala is a cute little place, in the best location practically on the waters edge. 2 mins walk takes you to the main square in Essaouira, and the port with the great fish stalls. Can't find a better location. None of the faux guides in Essaouira know this place because there is no sign and there are only 3 rooms. We had the entire place (really a private house) to ourselves because Jorge (cool Argentine owner) went away with some friends and none of the other rooms were booked.
