We ended up at this hotel completely by chance while looking for a non-existant camping site. We had no luck booking a decent place in Essaouira's old town right in the middle of August.
The place has a middle-of-nowhere feeling to it. I was therefore suprised to find that the owner was a born-and-bred Marseille lady who had relocated 3 years before to Morocco. She hasn't forgotten her provencal root as one can have Bouillabaisse (marseille style fish-stew) on order.
Rooms are located around a patio. They are quiet and lightly-furnished, with washed-out red walls. Ours was decorated with colourful oriental features and a comfy bed.
On the rooftop, there is a terrace with some sort of moroccan lounge area. Great in the morning.
In a few words, this family-owned hotel was a very decent, almost stylish, budget option (280 DH - €28 for a double). public bahroom could have been cleaner but was OK.
