...and we've been to a few: Hawaii, Mexico, Caribbean, Italy, Spain, France, Thailand, Bali, Vietnam, Zanzibar - all 5 star, but this was the best. Londo shares with these an outstanding location and climate, supurb food, luxurious accommodation and excellent service, but what makes this resort so exceptional is the day-to-day hands-on involvement of the owners. Peter and Evelyn discovered... more

The view from the sea front villas is excellent especially with your morning breakfast. The lack of cars, telephones and televisions is a welcome break The food is great, especially if you like sea food. The relationship with the local village, where many of the staff live is fascinating and the visit on foot is well worth your time. The... more

I have just returned from the most fantastic week at Londo Lodge. We were made to feel totally at home, the staff were so sweet and friendly and the food is unbelievable with plenty of fresh fish that you watch come up the beach from a local fisherman and go straight into the kitchen. The villas are really comfortable and... more

The first time my husband and me came to Londo, it was part of our honeymoon, and I can assure you: it is the best place on earth! We were astounded by the beauty of the place, of the main building and of the little houses where we slept. We are always looking for places on this planet that are... more

I stayed at Londo with my girlfriend and was blown away by the beauty of the place. It is a GREAT place to go and crash for a week of relaxation. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and rightly proud of what they provide which is reflected in the high calibre of the food (without exaggeration better than some... more

Londo Lodge is just paradise, the setting is stunning and the hosts wonderful. Our stay at Londo was the best bit of our honeymoon, we stayed there for a week out of our three week honeymoon and could have stayed forever. P-J and Evelyn couldn't have looked after us better, the food is truely out of this world. The inspiration... more

Having spent 12 nights over christmas and new year, I can say the following. The setting is idylic - peace and quiet in the african bush on the indian ocean. if you want a pina colada served on the beach, go to the Maldives. If you want real comfort, tranquility, great food etc., with the odd reminder of where you... more

When choosing between "Terrible" and "Okay, but some problems" i was confused, because our experience in the first week of 2008 could be characterized as: "not quite okay, a lot of problems" in a polite way. In my straightforward manner I would say: just bad. Things you should know before you go: 1) If you go in rainy season -... more

The lodge itself is on a beautiful spot near Londo village. However, this is not the star accomodation you are being promised. At first you might think you arrive at the perfect place. The electricity-problems, urchins in the sea and snakes don't seem to mind, because the place is peaceful and pretty. Then you suddenly have to pay to get... more

After a rather prolonged stay at Londo lodge i was shocked and uphauled at how the Owners ,PJ and Evelyn , were treating their staff . The staff was forced to work outrageous hours . From Breakfast to the closing of the bar in the late evening ! All the staff seemed to be really unhappy with the working conditions... more
