This is an incredible place to stay. The hotel is sheer luxury, the staff were exceptionally good, the rooms are perfect, the setting is perfect, the food is excellent, what more can I say?! Ile des Pins in general is amazing as well, I would recommend that anyone who visits NC goes there for at least a few days. The... more

I cannot recommend the Meridien, nor the Ile of Pins, enough. This was by far the nicest hotel I stayed at while traveling through New Caledonia's islands. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and private. The beach on which the hotel sits is stunning as well. My only complaint is that meals at the hotel are very pricey, though the breakfast... more

We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and initially thought we had been given the wrong room - it was so luxurious. Like a little luxury cottage. Totally professional hotel right from the airport pick up to the check out. We heard bad reports of other cheaper hotels on the island and were glad we stayed here. It was just so... more

We spent a week in New Caledonia early last year. This included four nights at this beautiful island resort. This resort on the Ile des Pins looks like paradise. The crystal blue waters and pine covered shores are absolutely breathtakingly stunning. The position of our bungalow (one of the best rooms at the resort we thought), perched on a ledge... more

We have just returned from 5 nights at Le Meridian, Isle of Pines. The island, resort itself, view and the rooms were beautiful. Nearby is the natural swimming pool which is an absolute must, the snorkelling amazing. Unfortunately the food was terrible and expensive. There were a large number of Japanese tourists and I think the prices catered towards them.... more

We spent 5 days in november for our honey moon, after a week in sydney and 2 days in ouvea (The Paradis). This hotel is breathtaking, the bungalows very spacious and well decorated (try to get one right on the beach). The food is very good for that kind of destination, and the only location in the island where you... more

My dreams came true....the hotel is a 5 star resort, absolutely. You don't have to expect a 5-star hotel like in hong kong, there is luxe, but the luxe is the island itself! the food is good, and the prices are not at all upmarket! try to eat in any other part of New Caledonia, and it's everywhere very expensive.... more

We have recently returned from Le Meridien at Iles Des Pins, we spent 8 days there which is not only costly but too long. The resort itself is paradise, we had a bungalow on the lagoon which was heaven on earth, the bungalow was excellent, housekeeping 6 stars-brilliant so was room service. The management and staff were very easy to... more

We have recently returned from the Isle of Pines. The Meridien is located on a beautiful bay ( nicer when the tide is in ) and the Hotel rooms and facilities are well maintained. The local Kanak staff are friendly but difficult to communicate with once their "hospitality english" is exhausted, their training has been adequate but they have no... more

We had planned to stay here for a week on our honeymoon earlier this year. However due to illness, we were forced to cancel our trip. Despite giving the hotel nearly a weeks notice, they initially charged us 100% cancellation fee, that is, no refund at all for the 7 nights we had paid for. Six months on, and the... more
