Its a must, the place is beautiful and worth! Camping, bring your own food and woods, you can make nice bbq just on front of the tent. Love it and will go there again! Wifi available, electricity, bikes for rent. Go watch the sunrise!

..... and maybe also the only one. The location is perfect. On one side you can look into the grand canyon of Oman and on the other side you can see to the far mountains and enjoy the sundown. The rooms are ok, nothing luxury, but we slept very well without A/C. The restaurant serves indian food; although it looks... More

Location. Location. Location! That about sums it up. The only improvement they should make is to put electrical outlets in the rooms (and a heater in the swimming pool). And don't believe anything said about getting up there without a 4WD vehicle. Never attempt it in a sedan! Helpful, friendly service. Bring your own water (or buy there).

We really enjoyed Jebel Shams Resort, it is a peaceful Resort on the top of the mountain with tremendous views and good service. We went for two hikes from there and also rented mountain bikes. The swimming pool was not finished yet, but in February we did not really need it.

We arrived in early April after a hair-raising, breath-robbing drive up the mountain in a tiny Kia Picanto. We checked out both the Sun Chalets and the Arabic tents, decided the typical hotel-room type chalets would be forgettable, so chose the Arabic tent. It is large, lit with an Arabic lantern, very photogenic, and replete with morning goat maa-maa-ing outside.... More

I used to stay in this resort before. It was a cheap place with cheap look and not much to offer. Hygiene was one the lowest side too. Rather crowdew and noisy too. This time I came there with two friends as we could not book the guest house in Misfat Al Abriyeen (you have to book it well in... More

We stayed for one night at an Arabic tent which was simple but clean and cosy. The just opened swimming pool was a little too refreshing, but enjoying the sun is very well possible. Offcourse the sunset at the mountain is already worth the stay. Dinner is simple but tasty and fresh, breakfast could be improved but the atmosphere pays... More

The place to stay if you want a beautifull sunset and some stargazing. The drive up to the resort is partly off road (doable in a 2wd but not advisable) and gives some amazing views of the mountains. Stayed in a Sunset Chalet. Rooms are decent enough with comfortable beds, bathroom could do with a shower curtain. But the view... More

I have stayed here a few times, but the most recent visit was last weekend. Every time I have gone you can see improvements in the resort as they are continually building and developing the resort more. We booked a private chalet, but they upgraded us to a sunset chalet for free. The room was big with new beds, TV,... More

We spent two nights at the Jebel Shams Resort. After originally booking an Arabic Tent, upon arrival we upgraded to a Sunset Chalet, which was much nicer. The room itself was nice; spacious with two twin beds, a large bathroom, a small breakfast table and a loveseat. The view from the sliding glass doors was amazing, and the sunset rooms... More
