An old hotel in the centre of town, so quite noisy, The room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Put me in a room with balcony when I asked if there was one, for no extra charge. Not the Ritz, but fine for a couple of days stay.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Chitré and it definitely has the feeling of once being a great hotel that is now a decent little spot to stay when passing through town. Like the guidebooks say, if you use your imagination, you can envision travelers of the past staying here during the boom of this cowboy town.
