Wonderful hotel right in the town square, great amenities, 110v power and plugs for Americans and 220 for everyone else. Outstanding service and attention to detail. The Housekeepers even found my lost money pouch and placed it on my bed.Dry and wet sauna, pool, bar, everything you need. more

We stayed in this Hotel in Trujillo for three nights. It is in a great location. We were able to walk around to shop and find some good places to eat. They have a good breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly. The beds were delightful with thick comforters on them. The only problem I had was the carpet was... more

I love going to the beach but I also like a little variety when I’m on vacation. Trujillo is a great spot because you get the best of both worlds—nearby beaches and a city with a decent night life. I’m glad I choose the Libertador. Money well spent! more

Room, service, restaurant were all very good. Be aware no irons available. Pressing available but very expensive. Location on Plaza big plus; if walking best to stay within pedestrian only areas. Cathedral bells start ringing at 3:00 a.m. more

Trujillo was an amazing experience. The weather was excellent for swimming on the terrace with some traditional Malabrigo cocktails. It’s less than 30 minutes from the beach, and the hotel helped us with getting secure transportation. Great time and delicious drinks at the bar. more

We went to this hotel as the last day for our Peru two weeks trip. We loved both Trujillo, the nearby trips (such as Chan Chan) and the visit to El Senor de Sipan. If you are going to this area totally worth staying in this hotel in Trujillo as a base. The hotel is done with a lot of... more

While I didn’t like much of Trujillo definitely the place to go is the beach. Time well spent. As for our hotel, I can’t begin to say how lovely it was. It definitely sets itself apart from the rest of the city. Lovely bar and the restaurant was great. I was pleased that the staff spoke English as well, it... more

Trujillo is a lovely place to relax and get away. I liked the fact that the area is clearly a beach town but nearby is the city center where there is a sufficient amount of night life and souvenir shops for those of you who don’t like spending your vacation entirely at the beach. The hotel was exquisite and might... more

Don’t be fooled by this hotel’s unassuming exterior. In addition to its meticulously cleaned rooms and common areas, comfortable beds, and its great service, Libertador is Trujillo’s best hotel. Its remarkable food is a “can’t miss”. Also try a few of the malabrigo drinks the bar specializes in before moving on to the discos around the main plaza the hotel... more

We stayed at the Libertador for a few days. I have one tip .. negotiate! Do not pay up front but enter the hotel asking for a suite, take a look to see what they offer and pay for a room. We ended up having all the luxury possible for the prize of a standard room. Otherwise i agree with... more
