I often visit Cebu twice or three times a year and usually stay in pension houses near the capitol. Last July, my boyfriend and I decided to stay at Villa de Mercedes because of its ideal location, close to almost everything (fastfood, restaurants, laundry shops, ATMs and banks, grocery stores, capitol, etc.), and Ayala mall is just about 10 minutes away by taxi cab.

The pension house is located at a quiet street near NBI office.
I didnt have high expectations about the place. The moment we stepped into the four-storey building, the front desk lady greeted us with a big smile and I immediately felt at ease. We were really tired and headed to our room which was on the 3rd floor. No problem of dragging our bags to our room since the pension house has a small elevator to bring us there. We booked a Regular room instead of a Deluxe room because that was the only available room at that time.
