The Arbat Hotel was a pleasant surprise - very clean, plenty of hot water (after travelling on the Trans Siberian this was wonderful!) and in a great position. Just a few minutes from Arbat Street and all its restaurants and shops and walking distance (about 25 mins) to Red Square and the Kremlin. Unfriendly staff? Whilst we found the majority... more

I stayed there for a week beggining July 2008. Average experience, no service attitude at all except of the businness center guy. Good location but dated hotel. No black out in the rooms. It was bright allready at 04:00 so i couldn t sleep properly. more

My wife and I stayed in early autumn for 6 nights. We would happily stay again. A corner "junior suite" with separate bedroom, lounge, study/alcove, bathroom and a kind of foyer where the wardrobe cupboards and fridge were located. Very quiet, light and airy and with a comfortable bed and a pleasant courtyard. Good location near Smolenskaya metro, supermarket and... more

This is my second review of the Arbat. After our first trip to Russia (we adopted our twins from the Russian Far East and the process required 2 trips) in March of 2006, I wrote a review and while our stay was not terrible, I vowed I would not stay in a hotel in Moscow that was not part of... more

Although this is supposed to be a business hotel their internet access is ridiculous, for the first 300 roubles(roughly £6) you get 5MB of data transfer and then you start paying more. If you are planning on using skype or any internet services at all then this is not the place for you. The hotel itself was absolutely fine and... more

I booked this hotel on the basis of a given price of 285US$. I then converted this to £ by using current exchange rate of 1.87US$ / £....ie 285 divide by 1.87 = £152.40 per night. BUT !!....on checking in I find this hotel uses it's own conversion exchange rate ...and you can only pay the bill in Russian Rubbles.... more

The hotel is a Soviet era one. The location is excellent; you are 150 mt. away from the Arbat st.; moreover, various metro stations are at a walking distance, as well as many restaurants, hence it's a perfect located hotel. The hotel itself, although located in the very downtown, was very quiet and silent. I was in a standard room;... more

We stayed at the very reasonably-priced Arbat while completing the adoption of our child, and they made us feel comfortable and secure. This older hotel is in a nice Moscow neighborhood and caters predominately to European businessmen. However, the staff spoke English quite competently. We were able to reserve a spacious two-room suite for the price of a typical small... more

The situation is fantastic (200 meters to the pedestrian street Arbat) and very secure hotel, but too expensive (unfortunately Moscow hotels are always too expensive) I was told that not only my American Express but my visa credit cards as well, were blocked ¿? (Later I knew the reason) so I must pay in cash. The price was in USD... more
