Honestly, Aeroflot picked the hotel. Oddly, it took 70 minutes to get to the hotel from Sheremeteyvo, but only about 20 minutes to get back to the airport. It was clean, open, well appointed and the staff was attentive. Dinner was only average, but breakfast very good. The bed was very comfortable, the room warm and shower next morning hot.... more

I would agree with all the other contributors on the quality of this hotel. However, the Moscow traffic was terrible and on one occasion it took our coach two and a half hours to get from the city centre back to the hotel. This is a large hotel that is run upto western standards. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Reception is manned 24hours and the staff are all helpful. With a nice bar and restaurant. It also had a small pool and a small gym downstairs off reception. The hotel is obviously set up to cater more for the business man... more

This hotel is the best value I have found in Moscow. Nice rooms - service up to Western standards - and rooms for less than $100 per night It is out of the city - about 20-30 minutes to Red Square in Moscow traffic A taxi to the centre should cost maybe $12-15 - there is a free shuttle bus... more

I stayed in this hotel between the 10-14th March 2005. I was very impressed with what I received for my money. I paid approx. £60 ($100) for a double room, with double-occupancy. Well-run with a courteous staff and very comfortable. One of the best accomodations we found in a long summer of traversing Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) and SW Siberia with a university student friend. On a future trip we will definitely return to Iris Congress. more
