I stayed at this hotel for three nights. It is totally disgusting. The lobby looks nice enough, but the rooms are gross. The carpet in my room had several cigarette burns, the bedding was stiff and dusty-feeling with a shiny beadpread. The decoration consisted of a plastic plant that had never been dusted. this hotel is well located - close to a metro stop, next to a big touristy market (good for souvenirs but more expensive than Arbat Street in downtown Moscow), had a 24hr shop next door (not the one in the hotel - too expensive) but outside at the back of the hotel - to buy water and other supplies. Beta is an average Russian hotel. The hotel was under remodeling during our stay. The refurbished lobby was very nice. And the resturants downstairs were a convienent place to snack while we waited for our room to be prepared. The decor of our room reminded me of a 1970's cruise ship, but I think they were on the verge of... more
