This is a small hotel right smack on the main drag in the center of town.
The value for the money is not bad as Russian hotels go, and the room was clean & spacious with all the fixtures in working order. The bathroom was an ungainly and cramped plastic modular room that appears to have been shipped in from Japan as a single piece, but it worked reasonably well.
There was not always an English speaker at the front desk. They wanted to keep the room key at the front desk whenever I left. Some sort of security precaution, apparently. (People duplicating keys and then doing something nefarious.)
A tiny restaurant in the premises can serve a simple breakfast, but sometimes all the tables are occupied. There is a cafeteria-style restaurant across the street, Kafe Dalniy Vostok (The Far East Cafe) where, if you don't speak Russian, you can point to what you want and say "Eta, pa-ZHAL-ee-sta" (This one please).
