As the name indicates, this is positively a mega palace, considering we are in a remote part of Russia. One of the few hotels in Siberia where you don't get immediately depressed. I've stayed in this place quite a few times, as well as others in town and this is by far the best! The rooms are decent four star standard and nice and warm in the winter. I even stayed in the luxurious suite one time which was great! Breakfast buffet is good... plenty of choice and recommend the high calorie... more

The Mega Palace is probably the best hotel in town, but it's still way below Westerm standards. I've stayed 3 times now, and the lack of customer service still astounds me! We had a waitress at dinner who didn't know how to open a bottle of wine. The decor is OK, but all utilities can be iffy. Keep your expectations... more
