The Astoria is a nice hotel, with a competent, courteous staff. But, they have a pretty cavelier attitude toward honoring reservation quotes. We reserved with American Express, through the Fine Hotels and Resorts plan. That entitles us to breakfast, free internet and a food and beverage credit. Have stayed here often on business and have never been disappointed. The rooms are well-appointed although some can be small but asking for an upgrade as a frequent visitor is almost always fulfilled. We have stayed at Rocco Forte in Berlin (same time of year) which was stunning and a true 5 star hotel, this one comes no where near.
