Big hotel, Big breakfast and Big corridors. We were part of a tour group and so did not choose the hotel but i am not complaining! St Petersburg is a big and busy place so to be helped around was useful. Are location was great and although most reviews said the view was good, ours was the back of a... more

This is a 3 star hotel for tourist groups. It is a soviet era hotel fully renovated to western standards. Rooms are not big but acceptable, with all usual staff for a 3 star hotel. Apart from the long corridors to and from the elevators - cannot imagine how huge they are - what really annoyed me was the hundreds... more

We stayed in the hotel "Moscow" from 7 till 11 of July 2008. And honestly, I was a bit worried after I had read all the negative things about the hotel.. I was very pleasantly surprised! The room we stayed in was on the 8th floor. The long corridors are probably the only thing I found inconvenient... It took us... more

I stayed here for one night in July to end a business/holiday visit to St Petersburg and found no reasons to complain about this hotel. I believe the hotel has recently been renovated throughout and my room on the 7th floor was perfectly adequate. Yes, there was a walk to my room ex the lift, however hey, this is an... more

First the good -- the hotel is right at a Metro station and there is a huge modern supermarket below. The bad -- I had a 10 minute walk from the elevator to my room -- don't leave anything behind that you might want. The buffet breakfast is not very good. THe hot water was not working the first day... more

I went to St Petersburg on a bus tour and stayed at Hotel Moskva. I have to say, the hotel was so bad it was surreal.. The hotel is from the Soviet era, which means that everything is huge. There are looooong corridors which lead to the rooms, there are vast open spaces all over with a few akward pieces... more

I am an American living and working in Russia, but do not speak the language so my assistant was assisting me with hotel arrangements for a personal trip I was planning over Russia's Independence Holiday. I completely forgot it was White Nights so my first several choices were already booked, but she found Hotel Moscow and booked it. After reading... more

this is by far one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at. firstly it is impossbile to get ANYHTHING done here, like eat, order room service, communicate with the staff..even paying for the room was an adventure (i had to go to a hotel room on the 7th floor and pay) and i nearly left without paying. the... more

First impressions of the hotel were good. An impressive entrance and ideally located in the city. Good views if your room is at the front of the hotel and the hotel has been recently refurbished. However, from there on in ..it unfortunately goes rapidly downhill. The heating system for the bedrooms is incredibly hot and you cannot switch it off,... more
