I stayed here as part of a tour group, just like probably 70% of other hotel guests, so I had no choice. I stayed there for four nights. Even though the hotel advertised itself as recently renovated in April 2008, it still looks and feels very dated and in need for a makeover. The hotel was very large (1200 roms)... more

I spent a total of 4 nights in this hotel in June 2008. Having read the reviews on this website, I was prepared for this not-so-good hotel. The room we stayed at was worse than I expected for the following reasons:- 1. There was no hairdryer despite what's stated on the hotel's official website - we had to ask twice... more

Hotel has several good points, but its location is not one of them. It is on an island. To make a 6 a.m. flight tothe U.S., you must take a taxi leaving at 2 a.m. because the bridges to the mainland close soon after --times may be a bit off, but this is an awful situation. The week we stayed... more

I stayed here in July 06 as part of a tour with Travelscope. I know some time has passed since I was there, but I would say it was a pleasant place to stay. We arrived early on the overnight train from Moscow, although we could not access the rooms we were checked in with no fuss and were allowed... more

Stayed here recently for a conference. I've stayed at international class hotels all over the world and I can tell you that this is the worst. Spend a bit more and stay in the centre. The location is the worst thing about the place, unless you love views of soviet bloc housing... and if you do, you can get them... more

I stayed there August 2007. Booked by travel agency. Far from a four star establishment according to western standards but acceptable. Do not expect anything luxurius though...Nice dinning hall. Surrounding area and buildings cannot let you forget the soviet era. Located far from center, 15 mins walk to closest metro station, bus 147 (small yellow one) just oppostte to hotel,... more

This is not a great hotel location wise in St. Petersburg! We arrived late at night and the hotel couldn't arrange a taxi for us from the airport unless we sent them an email!! Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, the dinner wasn't great but the breakfast was amazing, everything from fresh bread, to omlettes, salads and fruits, it really... more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour of Moscow and St Petersburg. The public areas are generally of a reasonable standard, although the bedrooms are of poor decorative quality and we were able to play noughts and crosses on the dust of the television screen, even after the maid had called! It is probably externally one of... more

Visited St Petersburg early April. Had been previously in 1985 so it was fascinating to see changes...some positive, some less so. We stayed in the Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya. Having read the reviews here I was really dreading the experience, but I was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps this was down to having stayed previous 2 nights in Moscow in a truly soviet... more

Definately a tourist class hotel. (full of German tourist when we were there). It is WAY out of the city centre. And nothing around is worth walking to. So you're going to have to taxi in all of the time. The restaurant food was pretty bad, they seemed to be rationing the water as we were given one bottle and... more
