I have spent several nights during my business trips in St. Petersburg, and Chaika beats all other hotels in town when you you look for value for your money. The hotel us such is nothing fancy, but the rooms are cozy, and very reasonably equipped, and the service is very friendly. You can also book apartments for 2 -4 people with very reasonable price. The hotel bar and restaurant are typical Russian style, but comfortable, and the food is from average to excellent! Probably the cook matters a lot, but usually you get more then you pay for!

Hotel also includes couple other small bars/ cafes down stairs, massage, barbershop, medical clinic ans so, which makes it handy. Only major set back is the distance for metro, since it takes some walking to get there.
