We stayed there in the summer of 2003 and will do so again if we ever return to St. Petersburg. The room price includes a full breakfast, served in a cozy lobby/reception area with tasteful and appropriate varnished wood decor. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. They respond well to e-mail inquiries and even sent us and e-mail Christmas card the following holiday season. Finding it was a bit of a head-turning quandary for our taxi driver, and a few mosquitoes found their way in through the vent in the bathroom. An electronic key is required to enter the building or gain access to a floor, so there is security. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The BBC is received on a TV in the lobby for English-language programming. It's about a 10- to 15-minute walk to the metro station and 5 minutes to Moskovskiy Prospekt.
