I stayed in St Petersburg for 4 nights on a business trip. This hotel looked very basic in the descriptions. It turned out to be that way, but I have to add quite a few negative points.
The room was a boring shade of brown. The bed was small and not very comfortable. The shower only had warm water if your neighbours had not been taking a shower before you. The entrance was rather filthy. The 'breakfast' consisted of a brown paper bag with crackers, apple drink and cereals (we had breakfast in a great coffee shop off Nevsky Prospekt ).
When I checked out, te lady at the desk said I still had to pay for three nights. I told her the voucher which I had given her on the first day stated that I had paid for all nights. I showed a copy, but she still did not believe me. I decided to walk out.
I enjoyed St Petersburg a lot, but this hotel was terrible. more
