location is everything. the hotel has very interesting rooms. doors were decorated by a different artist. Breakfast was good and plenty. unfortunately pickpockets stole our camera In Neviesky Prospekt (inside a restaurant near kazan cathedral) and nonstop shops owners try to steal you if you do not know the russian notes.

Extremely friendly staff very helpful with any queries and bookings. The hotel is very well positioned in the heart of the city, close to all major tourist attractions. The furniture and the decoration of corridors and rooms created a very special ambiance, very much in line with everything else that St Petersburg has to offer. Love it.

A good location to visit St Petersburg - the hotel is full of charm: nice decoration, beautiful old furnitures, and a lot of atmosphere!!! So nice to stay in an hotel which is not an International hotel looking all the same.... Friendly and helpful staff: a perfect place for a couple of days in St Petersburg!

We truly enjoyed our stay in St. Petersburg - probably our favorite city in Russia. The Art-Hotel Rachmaninov was in a great location for the price. The only thing we didn't like as much was there was no elevator. or at least not a readily accessible on from the street. The employees were friendly and spoke English well.

Any positive reviews just can't be real. Screaming car alarms all night long. Entrance from a street full of bums and partying drunks. A liquor store across the street. A tiny bed, old linen, cold room and especially bathroom, miserable breakfast, weird furnishings, lousy art, amateurish hostile staff. Look elsewhere. Too much art, too little hotel.

My wife and I had a great stay last May. The hotel provided great value and a breakfast every morning. The service was exceptional. Friendly staff, nice rooms, good location, good breakfast. I can just say excellent. It is genuinelly located in the city center. The Terrassa restaurant is neaby with a good view, however, the menu is much to expensive.

We were totally enchanted by the art in the hotel, the friendly service, the wonderful atmosphere, and, of course, it's perfect location in the center of the city.
