We stayed for 4 nights in a Junior Suite. The hotel opened in 2007 and the room was very nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and the room had a nice sized settee in it. Be warned there is no lift in this hotel which made carrying heavy suitcases up lots of stairs very difficult. Reception say a porter should be available but we arrived late and this wasn't offered to us. There are no tea/coffee facilities or fridges/mini bars in the rooms.

The breakfast was adequate. You were asked which hot dishes you would like as you went to the breakfast room. In addition to this there were various juices, yoghourts and breads. A kettle was placed on the small bar top along with cups/saucers and sachets of instant coffee and tea bags for your hot drinks.

The hotel is in a good position for seeing St Petersburg, being just a few streets away from Nevsky Prospekt the main shopping area. The security is good. You need to ring the bell to get in and also press the button to... more
