My wife and I stayed at B&B Assembly for five nights, and it was a great experience. Natalia was an excellent host; she helped us with directions to various places and even wrote out a few sentences in Russian to help us book a train to Moscow. That was very useful, because the woman at the ticket office didn't speak... more

If you are on a budget but still want to feel most comfortable staying in the very center of the city - this is the choice! Location is a blessing: maximum 15 minutes relaxed walk to virtually all the main St Petersburg attractions; half an hour to both Vasilyevsky island or Peter&Paul Fortress. I really enjoyed the open atmosphere. Despite the nice rooms there is a big living room and the kitchen attached, where I always had very nice breakfast after enjoying the nightlife of St. Petersburg. Strongly recommended. more

We wanted to better experience the 'real' Russia than would have been possible in a western style hotel - and were delighted with our choice. Natalia made us both feel really welcome - patiently answered our non-stop questions - and spoilt us every morning at breakfast time with an endless variety of dishes. Caviar for breakfast? I recently took my mother to St. Petersburg, Russia (May 14- May 24'th, 2007). After much research, I found Assembly Bed and Breafast- owned by Natalia Sorokina in the heart of the city. This was a WONDERFUL place to stay. Natalia prepared an awesome breakfast for us each morning. She helped arrange for drivers and guides for the whole trip.... more
