Reviewer - a tourist, visting friends in Kazan

Kolvi was clean and a nice place to stay.

There was filtered (bottled) cold water readily available. Hot water for tea was also available.

They promptly fixed a couple minor problems.

The building is like a beautiful Oasis in the midst of City with some not very beautiful parts. We felt safe, but some former neighbors did not clean up the mess when they abandoned their builidings.

The Kolvi is 2 blocks from a major street with lots of public transit, restaurants, and grocery stores. A short walk, but far enough away to be quiet. The City's central market is a few blocks in the the other direction. Very convenient location.

The English language ability of the staff at the desk varied with time or day, but was always rather limited. Our translator helped us ask for a 5:00 AM van to the airport, and they did very well with that request.
