This large multi-storey hotel is conveniently located in the district of Pyatigorsk called 'Belaya Romashka' (translated as 'White Daisy' from Russian). It is very close to downtown (about 10-15 min. by public transport or car, 20-30 min. on foot) and there are always plenty of cabs waiting nearby and several bus/tram stops (going to different directions) are literally on the doorstep. Pyatigorsk has a well-developed public transport sector, so getting around without a car is easy.
The hotel has just been extensively renovated - it is very European-like, with double glazing throughout, rooms with all necessary amenities, a large restaurant, and conference rooms.
I think that Westerners visiting the town will not feel out of place in this hotel. With the renovation work it looks much more up-to-date than, say, Intourist (the only place where foreigners could stay in Soviet times).
