Booked hotel through online through http://www.uralterra.com/
Hotel is a massive old soviet hotel, partly renovated, we stayed in the unrenovated part. The rooms were OK, there was a sink in the room, the toilet was very cold, and smelly and was down the other end of the creepy feeling corridor. The communal bathroom was in the basement and there was an extra charge to use it (nominal).
The staff at the reception were friendly enough but most of the other staff pretty much ignored us, apart from getting excited when they saw that we were leaving.
The breakfast was a buffet of stale bread and other dodgy looking mush, after attempting to eat it we chose to pay extra to eat somewhere else.
Yekaterinburg on the whole wasn't the best place to stay, it's an industrial town, not very pretty with not that much to do once you have seen the quite interesting Romanov memorial. It's not a town set up for tourism and so doesn't really cater for it at all.
It's OK as a 1 night...
