I was a little bit surprised by how nice this old government-run hotel was. The garden in the middle is beautiful. The rooms are nicely-done. The service was good. The only issue is that the food was so-so. But, in general, my standards for Guangzhou are now relatively low, and this place far exceeds them.

best part of hotel was they have english speaking receptonist. everything in hotel i found perfect.cleanininess of hotel should be appriciable. its a big hotel with nice location. if you are staying in guangzhou i will definately reccomend this hotel.
