This used to be the Hyatt Hotel in X'Ian, but Hyatt dropped its management on 30Jun11. The atrium and common areas are well-designed, and are kept pretty clean. However, the rooms need major renovations...mattresses are hard; our safe didn't work; lights not working; etc. We ate in the restaurant, but few people spoke English in the public areas. More

The Grand Metropark used to be a Hyatt Regency hotel, until recently about July 2011. (Our travel agent referred to it as the Hyatt Xian). My understanding of this is because the hotel owners refused to renovate the rooms to be more modern. I agree with Hyatt on this one, as the rooms are in pretty bad need of renovation.... More

Although the hotel has the Hyatt bones, it has been left untouched for a while and it shows. The lobby needs to be updated and all the decor in the rooms, halways, etc. Breakfast was good. Service was not at the level I expect from a Hyatt hotel. More

Grand Metropark is a very good choice, however a little far away from centre. Staff is very helpful and nice. We were upgraded and got to lovely rooms. More

This hotel is now a Grand Metro Park Hotel. Rooms are clean but dated and the western TV channels are limited to BBC, CNN and AXN.
