It was my 1st stay at The Hump Hostel. We did not book earlier for the room & we were offered a triple room at RMB150 when it was just two of us. During c/in there was a couple of caucasian also without reservation but they were offered a double room after they make some calls. Talk about double standard.... more

Greate helpfull staff, traveldesk and resturant. Big clean dorms, the private doubles for 17 US is like hotelrooms, but the disco nearby doesn't stop till 1 am..We found the shared bathrooms very clean! A greate place to relaxe. The bar and cafe is excellent and great place to meet people and sort out onwards travel etc. Also the staff are really freindly and helpful. The dorm rooms however are pretty crap.. dank and lifeless and the beds are not very comfortable. The bathrooms are also not particularly clean and have cockroaches and mozzies! A huge and slightly impersonal hostel, - with a large open bar/tv area, and a huge roof terrace with pretty good views over the city.
