I stayed at the Crystal Orange hotel for 5 nights. As I read other good reviews, I decided to adventure off the known international brand names (Accor, Marriott, etc). Well, let's see...the up side: It's a very well located hotel, neat place, good room sizes and very stlylish. I booked online and got a very good rate, a deluxe room... more

I moved to this hotel from Hyatt. I stayed with hyatt simply because my local friend told me that Chinese will judge my company based on how luxury the hotel you stay, how big the meal you buy or even high expensive the alcohol you take. So I decided not to take crystal orange my wife recommended and take hyatt... more

Found this gem in Trip Advisor. First off, LOCATION. Very near the train station (we came from Shanghai). Should be about 10-15 mins by cab. NO Traffic, as it is very close. DO NOT take offers of touts to take their 'cab' for a flat rate of 40 RMB. We took the return route for only 17 RMB. Very near... more

Very cute, trendy boutique hotel and one of the NOISEST I have stayed at in China. Youj simply cannot and will not be able to sleep here. I tried two different rooms, and both were bad. Most rooms are on one of two busy streets with 24-hour horns and traffic, and bad window seals that lets the noise in. Spent... more

This hotel is very clean even by Western standard. The service was very good and friendly. Staff spoke English which help with the translation. Staff was very efficient in gettin taxi which can be a problem in Hangzhou. Room was large as compare with some of the other hotels that we had in China. LCD TV screen was large -... more

We booked through C-trip for a Standard King for 2 nights on Oct 18 & 19. As it turned out, we did not notice the fine print that the booking is cancelled by 5pm. Our train arrived at 4:30pm but by the time we waited a taxi to the hotel, to our horror, the reservations was cancelled. The hotel was... more

Brilliant location near the lake. Good value, simple hotel. No frills. Staff very pleasant. Nice touches like bringing you drinks of water when you are waiting in reception. Rooms very spacious and clean. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Would stay again. more

They practically just empty your waste basket and thats housekeeping. No cleaning of table tops etc. kettle and bottles were left lying exactly on the spots where we left. and the most gross thing is they put back the bathrobe on the sofa when we wanted it change by putting it on the floor together with the towels. Wanted the... more

We stayed at the Crystal Orange Hotel for four nights this month. The location was great - a short walk to the West Lake. The rooms were clean and have internet access. The hotel breakfast was underwhelming. The front desk staff were not overly helpful or friendly (when, for example, we asked for directions or for assistance with our reservation).... more

Hotel itself was very trendy. Rooms were good, nicely furnished and very clean. breakfast was poor but coffee was good. Only hotel in China and we stayed in seven on our travels which did not have internet access - only WI-FI. Biggest problem we encountered was the communication with the staff - they tried their best but English was very... more
