Hangzhou, I would say, is not the easiest place to visit as a westerner, and this hotel didn't help. The room is old fashioned Holiday Inn style and had a defective air conditioner and window that barely opened to boot. The hotel is quite far from where all the good restaurants are and finding cab drivers in that city who... more

Stayed for a Long weekend with my son. Booked through the Holiday Inn Internet site and got a bargain rate for the weekend. The hotel is a minimum charge Taxi ride from the railway station and could be walked in about 30 mins. Took all the paperwork with us which was just as well because at check in they tried... more

OK, I was wrong. Somehow I gave this hotel a decent review last year. On my re-visit, I realized time passed this hotel by, both in the room and in the service. Why my sudden change? I stayed at five different Holiday Inn products in China in the past year, and now realize this one is at the bottom of... more

Rooms are nice and clean, well designed, with e.g. electric plugs next to the bed etc. Internet was reasonable good. Only minor point was the coffeeshop. Only a few western dishes and the staff spoke hardly English Unfortunately the business centre seemed closed after 8 pm more

This was my first trip to China and I was by myself on business. The hotel had many different restaurants to offer, cafe, traditional Chinese, Japanese and a steak house. The room was clean and very roomy for the price. It was located close enough to all of the major tourist sites but had plenty to do right around the... more

We are Australians who have lived in China for a nearly 2 years, so we know China well enough to not talk about the things you get used to. This hotel has its pros and cons. If we came to Hangzhou again, I wouldn't stay at this hotel. This is not to say it isn't an okay hotel. It is... more

I arrived in Hangzhou straignt after my examinations in Australia to take another intensive chinese language course. Feeling so tired and restless, i decided to get out of the university dorm for a few days and stay in a hotel to recharge. I choose the Holiday Inn, over Shangrila and Hyatt purely because of price. I could stay in a... more

I loved Hangzhou - much friendlier than Shanghai and more beautiful. This Holiday Inn was very popular with the discerning Japanese Businessmen. Great Service - there was a problem with my bill - as ebookers had not paid them - but they ironed it out in 2 hours. You can easily get a taxi - If you want to eat... more

Room size is good as it could accomodate an extra bed very comfotably.Location is par excellence-very neat surroundings- early morning one could watch from the 8th flr almost whole... more

After our hotel in Shanghai, it was nice to be back in a hotel right in the middle of a bustling city. Everything you could require was within easy walking distance. For us Brits, there is the biggest Tesco hypermarket you have ever seen. Although most of the sold goods were Chinese, they stocked just about anything you may have... more
